Gerry Deveau, from Belle Cote, Cape Breton, has played at the Broad Cove Concert for 58years. This year, OUR SPOON MAN, will play for the 59th time at our 60th concert. Gerry has played the spoons with many of Cape Breton’s finest musicians. He played on the CBC SHOW, THE CHETICAMP ISLANDERS which ran for 25 years. Gerry has also played on many CDs of Cape Breton’s most accomplished fiddlers. You will find Gerry on the Broad Cove stage the last Sunday in July. He is one of the most entertaining performers.
Gerry is noted for his generous sharing of his talents, not only on the performance stage but also as a mentor and teacher.
Francis is a native of Inverside and has played the spoons on the stage of Broad Cove since 1978. Francis loves music and always looks forward to performing in Broad Cove. Gerry joins Francis in a duet and they often finish of the number with a few steps.
