Kevin Dugas

Picture
Kevin Dugas started playing the pipes at the young age of 10. Growing up in Inverness, Cape Breton, he was always surrounded by the fiddle, piano, square dancing and Gaelic speaking, not to mention step dancing, as his mother is an accomplished step dancer. With a piping family history stretching back to his grand uncles, Kevin took to the pipes naturally, and now competes internationally. A professional class competitive bagpiper, he travels the world as a member of the 78th Highlanders Halifax Citadel Grade I Pipe Band. The band made Canada proud when it advanced to the finals in the world championships held in Glasgow in 2005. He also plays with the new Gaelic College piping ensemble “Nuallan.”
